2010 GREEN BUILDING AWARDS WINNERS ANNOUNCED!

The Green Building Association of Central Pennsylvania was pleased to announce the 2010 Green Building Awards winners at the annual meeting on April 15 at the C. Ted Lick Wildwood Conference Center on Wildwood Campus of Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) in Harrisburg. 

Six winners received awards during the ceremony in the six LEED credit categories, with a seventh award to the overall winning entry.  Door prizes included a 50/50 drawing, a room of Interface Flor carpet tile, and three area rugs.

 

 

 

 

 

      

 

 

 

 

 

 

             

 

        

Qualifications

The qualifications for eligibility for new construction and renovation projects and interior fit-out projects were that it must be located in the United States and must have been completed between January 1, 2005 and December 31, 2009.  These projects did not need to be LEED registered or certified to be eligible for this award program.

Eligible ongoing operations and maintenance projects must have been awarded a certification in the LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance (LEED EBOM) rating system by December 31, 2009.

Judging Panel

Each entry in the Green Building Awards Program was judged for the success with which the project met its individual sustainable goals in the category or categories for which the project was submitted.  The judging criteria included:
